Built in 1966 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2001, the modern low rise Aparthotel Las Gaviotas has a total of 139 one and two bedroom self catering apartments and studio flats, which are built over 4 floors and set amidst almost 9,000m² of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, along with an open plan kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave oven, and a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds, direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a choice of air conditioned buffet style restaurants offering traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, snack bars, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests include two large outdoor freshwater swimming pools with separate children's splash pools, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club along with a sauna, Jacuzzi and a gymnasium as well as a multi sports activity area for five-a-side football etc.

The Aparthotel Las Gaviotas also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
