Built in 1960 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2003, the Aparthotel San Diego has a total of 174 guest rooms, including 154 twin rooms, 12 one bedroom self catering apartments and a further 8 studio flats, which are built over 10 floors.

All guest rooms at the Aparthotel San Diego are centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the magnificent Bay of Palma. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian dishes, as well as a games room, laundry and medical services, and lounge bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large rooftop swimming pool, with spacious sun terraces overlooking the sea front promenade and magnificent Bay of Palma, which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor heated pool with sauna along with a specially adapted area for storing, maintaining and repairing bicycles, which is equipped with security fittings, as well as a selection of basic cleaning and repair tools.

Guests staying at the Aparthotel San Diego also have free access to the nearby "Tenis Arenal" centre whose facilities include a choice of three swimming pools with sun terraces and loungers, along with three hard surface tennis courts, a gymnasium, mini golf course, restaurant/grill and a children's play park with bouncy castle.
