Built in 1970 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2000, the low rise Hostel Orbe has a total of 29 guest rooms, including 3 single rooms and a further 26 doubles, which are built over 4 floors. All guest rooms at the hostel are centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and either a balcony or terrace with exterior views. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guests staying at the Hostel Orbe are welcome to use the facilities at the nearby Hotel Monaco which includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a buffet style restaurant, public internet terminals, safety deposit boxes available for rental, and a lounge bar with satellite television.
