Built in 1960 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2004, the family run Hostel Playa Sol has a total of 34 guest rooms, including 24 twin rooms and a further 10 singles, which are built over 4 floors. All guest rooms at the Hostel Playa Sol come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a telephone and balcony with exterior views over the town. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a reception area with currency exchange services, and luggage rooms for late departures, along with a buffet style restaurant, public internet terminals, safety deposit boxes available for rental, and a lounge bar with satellite television.
