Built in 1968 and extensively renovated during the winter of 1998, the modern Hotel Apolo has a total of 144 guest rooms, including 138 twin rooms rooms and a further 6 singles, which are built over 6 floors around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool towards the sea. In addition to the above, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian dishes, as well as a games room, snack bar, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool, with integrated children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces overlooking the small cove of Son Cayos which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor heated swimming pool, open during the cooler winter months, as well as a wide range of facilities for touring cyclists.
