Built in 1968 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2003/4, the modern Hotel Coral Playa has a total of 184 guest rooms, including 178 standard twin rooms and a further 6 singles, which are built over 12 floors, and set amidst spacious sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the magnificent Bay of Palma.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a safety deposit box available for rental, direct dial telephone, satellite television, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea. In addition to the above features, a daily maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen three times a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception desk with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, a games room and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Coral Playa offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, with the capacity to seat a maximum of 80 people, which is fully equipped with a selection of modern audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and mini club, along with both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Coral Playa also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring petanque, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

In recognition of the Pinero Group high standards of customer care and management systems, the Hotel Coral Playa has recently been awarded the internationally renowned certification of ISO 9001: 2000 Certificate for Quality.
