Built in 1963 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2000, the modern Hotel El Cid has a total of 216 guest rooms, including 186 standard twin rooms, 24 singles and a further 6 Suites, which are built over 6 floors and set amidst 2,000m2 of sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the beach.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the magnificent Bay of Palma. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian dishes, as well as a games room, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals with complimentary WiFi access available in selected areas, and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel El Cid also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, which is equipped with a selection of modern audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces overlooking the sea which are furnished with sun loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a hard surface tennis court, bicycle workshop and both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Hotel El Cid also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Spa and Wellness Centre which features, a further indoor heated swimming pool with cardiovascular gymnasium, sauna, Jacuzzi and Turkish bath, as well as offering a variety of other cosmetic and beauty treatments.

The Hotel El Cid also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
