Part of the prestigious Sol Melia Group of Hotels, the 4 star Hotel Sol Puerto de la Cruz is situated around 800 metres from the Lago Martiánez, in the quiet residential La Paz district of the popular resort of Puerto de la Cruz on the north West Coast of Tenerife. The hotel is approximately 28km west of the Los Rodeos International Airport, and 1.5km from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1973 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2004, the modern Hotel Sol Puerto de la Cruz has a total of 300 guest rooms, including 252 standard twin rooms, 37 singles and a further 11 Junior Suites, which feature a bathroom with Jacuzzi. All of which are built over 7 floors, and set amidst spacious sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone with high speed ADSL internet access in selected rooms, a satellite television with music channels, mini bar, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, a number of guest rooms at the Hotel Sol Puerto de la Cruz have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Sol Puerto de la Cruz also offers the use of 4 large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, seating a maximum of 1,000 people, all of which are equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, along with a further smaller children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground, along with a hard surface tennis court and cardiovascular gymnasium.

The Hotel Sol Puerto de la Cruz also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment in the Bar Salon Falua, with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
