Built in 1965 and fully refurbished during the winter of 1996/97, the low rise Hotel Playa has a total of 94 guest rooms, including 92 standard twin rooms and a further 2 singles, which are built over 5 floors overlooking the magnificent Bay of Palma.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the sea. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian dishes, as well as a games room, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals with high speed WiFi access available in selected areas, and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Playa also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, which is equipped with a selection of modern audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a well equipped cardiovascular gymnasium, and both pool and table tennis tables.
