Part of the prestigious Riu Group of Hotels, the 4 star Hotel Riu Garoe is situated around 1km from the Lago Martianez, in the quiet residential La Paz district of the popular resort of Puerto de la Cruz on the north West Coast of Tenerife. The hotel is approximately 28km west of the Los Rodeos International Airport, and 1.5km from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 2001, the modern low rise Hotel Riu Garoe has a total of 190 guest rooms, offering a choice of both standard twin rooms and Suites, which are built over 4 floors, set amidst almost 2,200m2 of sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower, hairdryer and cosmetic mirror, along with a direct dial telephone with high speed ADSL data port, satellite television with music channels, mini bar, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, Suites at the Hotel Riu Garoe also have a separate living room, and all rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

The Hotel Riu Garoe also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
