The 1 star Hotel Rosamar is a gay owned and gay run hotel in the heart of El Terreno district of the historic City of Palma. The hotel is recognised as being an intrinsic part of Palma's gay scene, and is in close proximity to a number of gay bars and clubs. The hotel is approximately 2km to the west of the city centre and 12km from the Son Sant Joan International airport. Many of the Palma tourist attractions including the Castillo de Bellver and Pueblo Español, are within walking distance of the hotel, and the small, sandy Cala Mayor beach is approximately 4.5km to the south west. The Hotel Rosamar has a total of 40 guest rooms all of which come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone and either a balcony or terrace with exterior views. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week. During the summer months, a self service continental breakfast is served on the terrace. There is also an open-air bar on the terrace in the evening. Other features include two sun terraces with sun beds and showers on the roof with magnificent views over the bay and Bellver Castle. There is a bar and television lounge which, in the winter months, has a log fire.
