Built in 1987, the modern low rise Las Coronas de Teguise complex has a total of 100 one and two bedroom self catering apartments, which are built over 3 floors and set amidst spacious sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the sea.

Many of the apartments on the complex are privately owned and furnished, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with an open plan kitchenette which is typically equipped with a cooker, refrigerator, washing machine, microwave oven, kettle and toaster, and a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds, television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a clean of the apartment on the day of arrival, and a mini-clean with a change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a reception area with currency exchange services and luggage rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool with separate children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities at the adjacent Hotel Coronas Playa include a small gymnasium with sauna, one tennis and two squash courts, table tennis, darts and pool table, as well as a beauty centre and hairdresser offering guests a wide range of cosmetic and other beauty treatments.

The Hotel Coronas Playa also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment, which normally takes place in the impressive entertainment marquee “The Pavilion”, featuring either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
